Our process · Orlando, FL

Our process: from a free in-home design to your finished closet in 4 to 5 weeks

Most closet companies show you four icons and call it a process. This is what actually happens, who shows up, what you decide, how long each part takes, and what usually goes wrong at other companies.

01
Day 1 · about an hour

We come to you, measure, and ask the questions that matter

Rocio, an engineer with interior design training, visits your home. No showroom trip, no sending measurements. She measures the space to the inch and asks the questions most companies skip: do you hang or fold? How many pairs of shoes are we really working with? Who shares this closet?

You don’t need to clean, empty, or prepare anything. Leave the closet exactly as it is. A full closet tells us more about your habits than an empty one.

What you do

Have 60 minutes and an honest answer about how you actually get dressed.

02
Same visit · before we leave

You watch the design take shape and see the price before we leave

The design happens in your home, on a screen, while you watch. Double-hang towers, drawer banks, shoe walls, an island if the room allows it. You move things, we adjust. When it looks right, you see the total. Not a starting number: the price for that exact design, with the standard materials other companies quote as upgrades already in it.

Take the proposal and think about it. It has the drawing, the spec sheet, and the price, so you can compare it line by line against anyone else’s.

What you do

Decide. If you sign, a deposit locks your production slot and your install date.

03
Weeks 1 to 4

Your closet is manufactured to your measurements, not cut from stock

Every panel, shelf, and drawer box is manufactured by Organizers Direct Industries (ODI) to the measurements from your visit. Edge banding rated for Florida humidity, full-extension steel slides, a lifetime warranty from the factory. Production takes about four weeks.

This is the quiet part. We confirm the install date with you a week ahead and send a short list of what to empty the night before.

What you do

Nothing, until the week before install.

04
Install day · one day

One day for most closets. You check every drawer before we leave.

Our installers arrive in the morning with everything: components, hardware, tools. Shelves and towers are anchored into studs, not drywall anchors. Drawers and doors are aligned before we leave, and the space is cleaned. Most closets are done in one day; a large walk-in or a multi-room project can run two.

Before the installers leave, you walk the closet with them: every drawer, every door, every rod. Then you put your clothes back. After 600+ installs we can tell you the thing everyone worries about: it all fits, and it looks better than it did in the drawing.

What you do

Empty the closet the night before. That’s it.

Why it works

What we do differently, on purpose

The designer is an engineer, not a salesperson

Rocio designs every project herself. There is no commission plan pushing the closet bigger than your room needs.

The price is on the table before we leave

Most companies quote after a second visit. We quote in the first one, with the spec sheet attached.

The standard spec is the premium spec

Soft-close hardware, full-extension slides, and Florida-rated edge banding are our starting point, not an upgrade line.

The factory backs the parts for life

ODI has been building closet systems since 1995 and warrants the cabinetry directly. That promise doesn’t depend on who owns the shop.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they book

Four to five weeks from the day you sign the proposal to install day. The visit and the design happen in one hour on day one; production is about four weeks; the install is one day.

No. Leave it exactly as it is. Seeing how you actually use the space is the most useful part of the visit.

Yes. The design is built in 3D in your home and priced before we leave. You get a proposal with the drawing, the spec sheet, and the total.

Small changes are fine before production starts, usually within the first few days. Once ODI begins cutting your panels, changes mean new parts and a new date, so we confirm every detail with you before that point.

A closet system is furniture anchored to the wall, not a structural change, so permits are not required. HOAs in communities like Lake Nona, Baldwin Park, or Celebration don’t regulate interior closets.

One day for most reach-in and walk-in closets, usually finished before 4pm. A large walk-in with an island, or a multi-room project, can take two days. You’ll know which before we schedule it.

Rocio, from the first call to the follow-up after install. She measures, designs, quotes, and checks the finished closet with you. The installers are our in-house team or installers we work with regularly, and she coordinates them.

At the start, to walk through the plan, and at the end, to check the finished closet. In between, you can go about your day.

Tell us at the design visit and we’ll include its removal in the plan, so install day starts with a clean wall.
